100 Goddesses

Art & Installation from Sarah Dixon Studio

Intuitive paintings exploring feminine power

The 100 Goddesses is a painting project by artist Sarah Dixon, creating intuitive feminist artworks with natural materials, using egg yolk, locally and internationally sourced pigments, and collected materials including earth, chalk, charcoal and river or spring waters. There are so many Goddesses around the world and across history and through these colourful, inspiring images the artist seeks to empower and share knowledge of the diversity and complexity of the sacred feminine.

100 Goddesses Show at Lansdown Gallery

The first 100 Goddesses installation was held at Lansdown Gallery, Stroud in July 2022.

Visitors viewed the 100 Goddesses installed in the space with gold, candles and incense.

The show coincided with the Goddess Parade starting at Stroud Goddess Temple on Saturday 30 July. This is the time of Lammas, the Three Mothers - abundance, fruitfulness and prosperity.

You can view the show on the full video tour above. Each Goddess is named. This will give you an idea of how the paintings may look on display and help you select one for your space.
